Missions: About
Missions are very much like quests. A player can sign up for a listed mission, request a mission they think of themselves, or request for a completely random mission from the mods. They can vary from extermination, an order from the Dragon Lord or Officers, request from another character, item retrieval, or information gathering about another character. Other characters are welcome to party up together as well as hinder the efforts of the character(s) on the mission. A player's character is trying to get an item and you just happen to hear about it? Well feel free to try and beat the other character to it, though you will have to consult the other player about how the characters would interact. Random encounters are always fun~

It is possible to fail a mission, so don't feel as if you have to finish a mission. You can also set a time limit that would correspond to real world time rather than RP time. So if you just want to be on a mission for a week our time, it's possible to do so even if a week hasn't actually occurred in the RP time for your character.

For example, you get a mission on Monday. Technically your character has been only been going through for maybe two days, or if you do time skip posts, a month, but it took you a real week to make it to that second RP day. So if your character still hasn't achieved his goal by the following Monday, he will have failed (unless you get a time extension).

To understand how time works in the RP, see this entry.
